Description:

Indigo is a tropical shrub of the pea family that usually grows to a height of 1-2 meters. Its botanical name is Indigofera Tinctoria. This plant is widely cultivated in subtropical areas like India. It needs a lot of light to grow. This plant has dark green leaves and pinkish violet flowers. This plant is used in  Ayurveda and other traditional medicine to cure many ailments.

How to Consume:

Internally:

• Take 5 gms of powder with 100 ml of water and boil them for some minutes. After the water gets warm, filter them, and drink before Morning food.
• Mix 2 teaspoons of Indigo leaf powder with 2 teaspoons of honey. Have it twice a day.

Externally:

For sores and ringworms:

 Mix Indigo Leaf Powder with some sesame oil and apply on the infected area. 

For hair Dye:

Mix Amla powder, Indigo leaf powder, and Bhringraj leaf powder with a little water and apply it as a natural hair dye.

For Glowing skin:

Take 2 tablespoons of Indigo leaf powder and add 1 tablespoon of curd and mix well to make a smooth paste. Apply on a clean face and keep it on for 20 minutes. Wash off with water.

For Ulcer:

Take 2-3 teaspoons of indigo leaf powder. Mix a little honey in it. Apply this ointment to cure mouth ulcers.
