Description:

Spikenard is a flowering plant from the Valerianaceae family.  It is native to India and widely grows in the Himalayan mountain regions, China, and Nepal. The flowers are arranged in several clusters at the end of the central stem. The fruit of the tree is oval in shape. It is green in color in the premature stage, and it turns black when ripening. The rhizomes of the plant are pressed and distilled to produce a deep amber-colored thick essential oil. Spikenard is one of the effective herbs widely used in Ayurveda to treat several diseases
