Curcuma zedoaria is a perennial herb native to South and Southeast Asia. This was introduced to Europe by Arab traders. The rhizome is large, thin-skinned, hard inside, and tuberous with numerous branches. It is used in traditional Tibetan medicine, Chinese medicine, and Unani medicine.Â
