Description:

Kasthuri Turmeric is a perennial rhizomatous herb, which belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. The stem grows to a height of about 8 to 10 inches and is crowned with elongated colored pieces with a pinkish tinge. Flowers are pinkish-white in color. It is an excellent skincare powder that treats various skin problems. This type of turmeric is not used for cooking, it is used for external application.

How to use:

Face mask:

Take a bowl and add 2 tbsp of wild turmeric powder, 1 tsp of gram flour, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and a few drops of rose water. Mix the ingredients well and apply the paste to your face. Wait for it to dry. Then, rinse off using lukewarm water.

Use as a scrub:

Make a paste with wild turmeric powder, sugar, and coconut oil. Apply the paste and scrub it gently over the skin. Keep it in your skin for 10-15 minutes. Then, wash it to remove dead cells.

Paste for removing facial hair:

Take 3 teaspoons of wild turmeric powder with 1 teaspoon of milk. Mix well until you get a thick paste. Spread the paste onto the area of skin with unwanted facial hair in the same direction as hair growth. Leave until dry, then wash with lukewarm water.

Paste to heal wounds:

Make a paste of turmeric powder with warm coconut oil. Apply on wounds. This helps the wounds to heal faster.
